POST 7 >> CHOISE OF TWO TOPICS (CHOOSE ONE OF THE TWO)
Hello friends, I chose to talk about one of the most prominent precursors in the field of public administration since ancient times, even before Christ, the character I am referring to is Socrates, who was the son of a midwife, Phaenarete, and a sculptor, Sophroniscus, related to Aristides the Just. In his youth he followed his father's trade and received a good instruction; it is possible that he was a disciple of Anaxagoras, and also that he knew the doctrines of the Eleatic philosophers (Xenophanes, Parmenides, Zeno) and of the school of Pythagoras, he was not so involved in politics, however his contributions were of order and justice, for that reason I admire him, since I consider that without those principles of justice the administration as such would not be a doctrine for all if not for a few. He practiced mayeutics, which corresponded to a system of teaching in which, in the squares, he held long conversations with young aristocrats or common people (merchants, peasants or artisans) and thus transmitted his wisdom to them.
hello millaray I find what you have told us very interesting.
ResponderEliminarWow I dind´t expect it. It´s certainly something of yours very interesting !!
ResponderEliminarHow about Millaray, I think Socrates' contributions in the area of public administration seem extremely important, since the principles of order and justice are extremely relevant today
ResponderEliminarSocrates will always be important because justice is a principle that is in everywhere and in every time. Also, he liked to debate anyone, and that reflects the equity's principle, which is important too for Public Administration.
ResponderEliminarHi Millaray!
